this project was developed for technical communication 501: theoretical dimenstions of technical communication at the university of washington with dr. mark zachry in the fall quarter of 2007. each student selected a book from a list provided to the class. we were required to read and review it. after selecting our books, we were placed into groups of similar topics. each group was required to publish their respective reviews in a manner that allowed the readers to become involved in this particular discussion within the larger body of tc theoretical work. the HCI group consists of two members, brandi arnold and ramsey tesdell. we reviewed our respective books and decided that a website that highlighted certain, prominent differences in our books would be the best medium to present these differences. we also decided that to include these reviews into the larger conversation surrounding the opposed positions, we would publish our respective reviews using thoughtmesh. thoughtmesh is an innovative tool to publish works and tag keywords, which allows a simple yet effective way to 'mesh' articles. we hope this site allows a simple entry to a complex conversation. if you have questions or comments, please don't hesistate to contact us:
